Hi, I’m Sanjali. I’m a Product Designer based in Pittsburgh
Before I became a designer, I was a lawyer. In law school, I learned
that understanding people is the key to solving the most complex
problems. I’d spend hours dissecting cases, considering both sides
of an argument, and figuring out the best ways to approach a
problem. I often made napkin sketches and doodled them in my diary
to process my thoughts and map out problems.
While I enjoyed practicing law, I felt the urge to explore
problem-solving in a more creative space. After graduating, I made
the leap into UX design. In many ways, I feel design found me. The
more I worked in the field, the more I realized how similar it was
to what I loved about law—understanding people and crafting
solutions that make sense for them.
Now, my work spans digital experiences across mobile, web, and VR
platforms. With the rise of AI and the increasing presence of
technology in our lives, products are overwhelming rather than
intuitive. At Carnegie Mellon University, I am exploring how I can
simplify user experiences by ensuring that technology remains
human-centered, allowing interactions to feel personal, natural, and
seamless rather than intrusive.
